I have the honour to transmit to your information the enclosed copies of Report which has been drawn up by Assistant Registrar General, on his confidential tour recently undertaken by him in south western China whilst on vacation leave.
I am of opinion that it is an interesting and able Report, and contains a great deal of information which may be of value to His Majesty's Government.
I have furnished His Majesty's Minister at Peking with a copy.
